Tron: Legacy- #1 Movie in America

Disney’s latest feature film Tron: Legacy premiered in theaters last weekend to huge numbers, making it the current #1 movie in the U.S. Starring Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde, and Garrett Hedlund, Tron: Legacy transports the viewer to the digital world of Tron, where computer programs are able to develop the behavior and characteristics of people: A timely topic for the digitally-driven world in which we live.
Tron:Legacy is a sequel to the original Tron film from 1982, a relatively hard-to-find dvd. Although many are not familiar with the original story, Disney's solid marketing campaign, pop up shop, and product offering spanning from toys to couture fashion has brought the Tron: Legacy world to the mainstream. December 5th 2010 marks what would have been Walter Elias "Walt" Disney's 99th birthday. A producer, director, screenwriter, animator, entertainer, innovator, philanthropist and icon, the man-behind-the-mouse gave us many loveable characters, stories, films, theme parks, and memories.
Mickey
Walt's most famous and beloved character is Mickey Mouse, who also just recently celebrated a birthday! Mickey made his debut in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928, the date upon which the Walt Disney Company celebrates his birth. Originally Mickey was voiced by Walt Disney himself, a task later assigned to others. Mickey went on to star in over 120 different cartoons, the Mickey Mouse Club, and most recently in the popular Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the Disney channel, and the just-released Nintendo Wii game Epic Mickey. Today Mickey Mouse adorns thousands of licensed items, and he remains the iconic face of the Disney brand.

Last holiday season we met Tiana, who has joined the ranks of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White as unforgettable, inspirational Disney heroines. In Disney's new feature length film Tangled we meet Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore), the beautiful and spirited teenage princess with a 70 foot mane of magical golden hair.
Adapted from the classic Brothers Grimm tale, tower-bound Rapunzel meets the charming Flynn Ryder and embarks on an adventure full of heart, humor, and lots and lots of hair!

TRON Pop Up Store in Hollywood opens today

TRON: Legacy doesn’t hit theaters until December 17th, but fans of the TRON films can get their fill of merchandise from the film beginning November 19th at a special Pop-up Shop in Colver City, CA. The store will have a six-week run and feature special merchandise available only at this location as well as other unique roll outs. Additionally there will be a cafe and art exhibit. More
If you have the chance to check out this very cool store make sure to "look up" (as in look up on the walls) at our vintage TRON product. Look for new movie based imagery to launch in December, they are very cool!
