In the art market, archival giclée stock has typically been a product reserved only for limited edition prints. McGaw however, offers this high quality product on all PODable images without the high price tag.

Although there are a lot of options in the marketplace of digital printing, the Holy Grail of giclée stock just did not exist. I have searched and tested everything I can get my hands on but to get exactly what I wanted, I had to build it. We worked with paper mills and manufacturers directly to merge the best technology and products into our new "Fab Giclée" stock, as I have dubbed it. It's the perfect blend of weight, texture, finish and white point. Weighing in at 230 gsm the product has just the right amount of texture, a vibrand but matte finish and just a slight tint of paper color for a more natural look. The new coating and ink combination also make the prints more scratch resistant. This comes in extremely handy when working with an image with huge areas of dense blacks and strong colors like Warhol's "Beethoven, 1987 (blue face) W1206-8G in an oversize 52x52. McGaw has also implemented a new eco-friendly ink set on all of our giclée printers. The new inkset is a re-usable cart system eliminating the need to continually manufacture new cartridges and the huge amount of waste hitting landfills every year. Some sources put that figure at more than 650 million printer cartridges around the world, with 450 million being discarded in the USA alone. Some sources have them as high as 750 million worldwide. The amount is increasing annually, but it has ceased at McGaw, we will never throw another cartridge away!
