Amanda Jones began her photography career in 1992 after graduating with a degree in Cinema & Photography from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York.
In 1994, Amanda began photographing dogs in Maine after her best friend brought home Ruby, a yellow Labrador Retriever puppy. Ruby was Amanda's first model and inspiration for pursuing a career working with dogs. Amanda has been photographing dogs and cats for clients across the United States ever since. Amanda prides herself in creating lasting imagery from the portrait sessions through all stages of development and printing, by hand. Her images grace greeting cards, posters, calendars and books. She travels the country extensively photographing dogs, cats and the occasional horse.
She lives in Williamstown, Massachusetts with her husband and business partner, Chris, their daughter Sophie and two long haired Dachshunds.
