Tall and soft-spoken, Robert possesses sincerity and courtesy that reflect his Idaho farm upbringing.  There, amidst the wide open plains bounded by rugged mountains, his appreciation for nature was sparked.  A contemplative, quiet individual, Robert discovered art as a way to freely express his feelings.  His practical background and belief in discipline led him to first earn a Bachelor of Science degree with teaching credentials in Art from Eastern Oregon State College and then a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Art Center School of Design in California.  At Art Center, Robert received a full scholarship and majored in Illustration and graduated with honors.\n\nRobert prefers painting ‘en plein aire’ to best express his immediate impression of each subject.  Plein aire painting allows him to capture the light and color effects of creation’s order.  He frequently uses vivid colors and high-keyed values that reveal a spiritually inspired joy. Robert’s paintings have a characteristic mood and energy about them that invite the viewer to experience the beauty he sees in nature. Several Trips abroad, including China, Canada, and the Tuscan countryside, have also inspired many canvases. In recent years, Robert has become a highly sought-after instructor and he teaches multiple workshops a year. He has been profiled in numerous magazine articles including Western Art Collector, Southwest Art, Wildlife Art, Big Sky Journal and Art of the West. Robert was also selected in 2012 to receive the Governor's Award for the state of Idaho for Excellence in the Arts.\n\nRobert Moore makes his home on a farm in the heart of the Snake River Basin in Tall and soft-spoken, Robert possesses sincerity and courtesy that reflect his Idaho farm upbringing. A contemplative, quiet individual, Robert discovered art as a way to freely express his feelings. His practical background and belief in discipline led him to first earn a Bachelor of Science degree with teaching credentials in Art from Eastern Oregon State College and then a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Art Center School of Design in California. At Art Center, Robert received a full scholarship and majored in Illustration and graduated with honors. Robert prefers painting ‘en plein aire’ to best express his immediate impression of each subject. Plein aire painting allows him to capture the light and color effects of creation’s order. He frequently uses vivid colors and high-keyed values that reveal a spiritually inspired joy. Robert’s paintings have a characteristic mood and energy about them that invite the viewer to experience the beauty he sees in nature. Several Trips abroad, including China, Canada, and the Tuscan countryside, have also inspired many canvases. In recent years, Robert has become a highly sought-after instructor and he teaches multiple workshops a year. He has been profiled in numerous magazine articles including Western Art Collector, Southwest Art, Wildlife Art, Big Sky Journal and Art of the West. Robert was also selected in 2012 to receive the Governor's Award for the state of Idaho for Excellence in the Arts. Tall and soft-spoken, Robert possesses sincerity and courtesy that reflect his Idaho farm upbringing. There, amidst the wide open plains bounded by rugged mountains, his appreciation for nature was sparked. A contemplative, quiet individual, Robert discovered art as a way to freely express his feelings. His practical background and belief in discipline led him to first earn a Bachelor of Science degree with teaching credentials in Art from Eastern Oregon State College and then a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Art Center School of Design in California. At Art Center, Robert received a full scholarship and majored in Illustration and graduated with honors. Robert prefers painting ‘en plein aire’ to best express his immediate impression of each subject. Plein aire painting allows him to capture the light and color effects of creation’s order. He frequently uses vivid colors and high-keyed values that reveal a spiritually inspired joy. Robert’s paintings have a characteristic mood and energy about them that invite the viewer to experience the beauty he sees in nature. Several Trips abroad, including China, Canada, and the Tuscan countryside, have also inspired many canvases. In recent years, Robert has become a highly sought-after instructor and he teaches multiple workshops a year. He has been profiled in numerous magazine articles including Western Art Collector, Southwest Art, Wildlife Art, Big Sky Journal and Art of the West. Robert was also selected in 2012 to receive the Governor's Award for the state of Idaho for Excellence in the Arts. Born and raised just outside of Chicago, it was not uncommon to find Peggy painting or sketching throughout her childhood. In her teen years her creative interests continued to grow and she took Art classes for all 4 years of high school. After becoming a mother of 6 children, 3 of whom she and her husband adopted, raising her children took center stage for Davis. It was at this time she began painting children's murals for baby nurseries, preschools and Sunday schools. She also designed theatrical sets and did faux finishing for area homes. After her children were grown she dove head first into her painting. Peggy considers herself self-taught as she has not taken any formal classes. She loves every medium and often dabbles in several although her preference is acrylics. Davis implements the wet acrylic painting technique meaning she paints quickly in layers of wet color. Her paintings tend to look like stained glass infused with movement and sometimes a 3D look. Using bright colors with a whimsical touch, Davis often depicts trees and flowers in her work. Davis has won awards for her work, has been in several juried events, and is recognized in her community as \"The Happy Painter\" as people often remark how happy her paintings make them feel.
