Jacqueline completed her BFA at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts and then moved West to pursue graduate work at San Francisco State University. Since then she has exhibited in galleries across the United States including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery and ArtExpo New York, along with numerous venues in Ashland, Oregon, where she currently resides.
In her most recent work, Jacqueline has rediscovered her love of luminous color and symbolic narrative. New Work draws on the rich symbolism of nature. Several canvases explore the beauty, strength and fragility of hummingbirds, and the maternal instinct that is both timeless and finite. The lotus paintings also resonate with deeper meaning. One could say they represent the calling of the artist – to provide a space for spiritual expression and to bring forth unexpected beauty from the moist soil of everyday life. Her Animal series explores the strength of animal forms and the portraits reveal the unique and essential characteristic of each subject.
