The artist uses her imagination to distill the kinetic essence of something never at rest. Irregular shapes of green and blue cover the canvas, reminiscent of the brilliant marine hues that convey water in 19th century Japanese woodblock prints. Close inspection reveals rough, textured surfaces from the thick application of media on linen, including oil, acrylic and oil pastel, reiterating the earthly and organic nature of her subject. Throughout her life, Margaret Juul has been privileged to enjoy a gift of inventive creativity. After training in fine art studies at Chicago’s Columbia College, she furthered her advanced education in interior design at The International Academy of Design and Technology. By 2007, she had accumulated an extraordinary portfolio, as well as acceptance into the prestigious International Interior Design Association; specializing in color, custom textiles, décor and fine art selection. One of the highlights of her diverse artistic career came in 2009, when the Iraq Museum International requested her image “Rough Wake” for the International Poster Exhibition at their museum in Baghdad. ”Rough Wake” would remain on display there for nearly two years. A collection of the 'Reflections' series was acquired in March 2014 and added to the newly remodeled NYU Surgical Center Endocrine and Diabetes Suite at the main patient facility; 550 First Avenue, NYC. The work was procured directly through exclusive NYU Artists Acquisitions Department. Not only was it was an honor, but also a high point in her career. Margaret’s artistic life has always been inspired by the Sea. From the shores of her New York birthplace and on to Chicago’s Lake Michigan — to the spectacular tropics of Tampa Bay where she currently resides, water has held an unwavering hold on her spirit — fluidity, intuition and reflective volatility.   As a successful professional artist and designer for more than two decades, she has cultivated a long list of devoted supporters. Her work displays prominently in a wide variety for settings — from celebrity homes, corporate lobbies, to commercial and hospitality sites internationally. \u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Margaret Juul","offers":[{"title":"6x13.5 image on 11x14 Paper","offer_id":67583545114916,"sku":"J1604-1P","price":15.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"8x18 image on 13x19 Paper","offer_id":67583545147684,"sku":"J1604-2P","price":20.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"10x22.5 image on 12x24.5 Paper","offer_id":67583545180452,"sku":"J1604-3P","price":30.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"12x27 image on 14x29 Paper","offer_id":67583545213220,"sku":"J1604-4P","price":35.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"16x36 image on 18x38 Paper","offer_id":67583545245988,"sku":"J1604-5P","price":50.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"20x45 image on 22x47 Paper","offer_id":67583545278756,"sku":"J1604-6P","price":85.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"24x54 image on 26x56 Paper","offer_id":67583545311524,"sku":"J1604-7P","price":125.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"28x63 image on 30x65 Paper","offer_id":67583545344292,"sku":"J1604-8P","price":190.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"6x13.5 image on 10x17.5 Giclée Paper","offer_id":67583545377060,"sku":"J1604-1G","price":36.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"8x18 image on 12x22 Giclée Paper","offer_id":67583545409828,"sku":"J1604-2G","price":54.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"10x22.5 image on 14x26.5 Giclée Paper","offer_id":67583545442596,"sku":"J1604-3G","price":72.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"12x27 image on 16x31 Giclée Paper","offer_id":67583545475364,"sku":"J1604-4G","price":96.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"16x36 image on 20x40 Giclée Paper","offer_id":67583545508132,"sku":"J1604-5G","price":150.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"20x45 image on 24x49 Giclée Paper","offer_id":67583545540900,"sku":"J1604-6G","price":192.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"24x54 image on 28x58 Giclée Paper","offer_id":67583545573668,"sku":"J1604-7G","price":265.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"28x63 image on 32x67 Giclée Paper","offer_id":67583545606436,"sku":"J1604-8G","price":390.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"6x13.5 image on 10x17.5 Unstretched Canvas","offer_id":67583545639204,"sku":"J1604-1C","price":30.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"8x18 image on 12x22 Unstretched Canvas","offer_id":67583545671972,"sku":"J1604-2C","price":45.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"10x22.5 image on 14x26.5 Unstretched Canvas","offer_id":67583545704740,"sku":"J1604-3C","price":60.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"12x27 image on 16x31 Unstretched Canvas","offer_id":67583545737508,"sku":"J1604-4C","price":80.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"16x36 image on 20x40 Unstretched Canvas","offer_id":67583545770276,"sku":"J1604-5C","price":125.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"20x45 image on 24x49 Unstretched Canvas","offer_id":67583545803044,"sku":"J1604-6C","price":160.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"24x54 image on 28x58 Unstretched Canvas","offer_id":67583545835812,"sku":"J1604-7C","price":220.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"28x63 image on 32x67 Unstretched Canvas","offer_id":67583545868580,"sku":"J1604-8C","price":325.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0223\/4033\/files\/J1604.jpg?v=1790784090","url":"https:\/\/www.mcgawgraphics.com\/products\/margaret-juul-light-and-movement","provider":"McGaw Graphics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
