Artist William Biddle creates nostalgic images that tell heartwarming stories. The setting for each piece is often a small town or village street scene. You may see children carrying sleds or shovels eager to get out in the new fallen snow. Scenes with homes or storefronts that don’t include figures often include their presence through a softly glowing window or fresh tire tracks. Biddle’s nostalgic landscapes capture the warmth and unity of community, with the importance of small-town business, family, and friendships prominently illustrated through his lively paintings.
William Biddle was born in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. He attended the Art Students League in New York City and ran an illustration studio in Toronto.
