Jason Savage is an award winning nature and wildlife photographer known for his strong color images depicting art in the natural world. His images have been collected around the world and are regularly featured in magazines, books, and other publications. Jason grew up in the west and began his photography career while exploring the wild Rocky Mountains of Montana. Combining his passion for art, nature, and his fascination with the photographic medium, he began to capture the delicate balance of the natural world through his lens.
His love for photography eventually lead him to teaching where he has become one of many leading instructors in the country teaching both privately and conducing outdoor photography workshops throughout each year.
His work has appeared in Time, National Geographic Traveler, Audubon, The New York Times, Outside, and many others, and his images featured in fine art galleries throughout the northwest.
Jason resides with his family in Hamilton located in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley.
