A career followed by many wonderful experiences, Maresa began shooting stock photography while studying photography at Daytona Beach Community College. She began her career at the Sarasota Journal and in 1987, Maresa, and her husband, Winston started their business; Lightwave Photography and it continues to thrive today.
Her passion has taken her to exciting places such as the Galapagos Islands, Cuba, Belize, Scandinavia, across America and Canada, and many special places near her home and studio in Florida. Photography credits include: Harcourt School Publishers, Houghton Mifflin, Living Bird, McGraw-Hill, Mother Earth News, National Geographic Kids, National Wildlife, Outdoor Photographer, Ranger Rick, Sierra, Smithsonian, Time for Kids, and more…
She dedicates her work to her husband and son, Patrick. They enjoy the slow-pace of Bushnell, Florida and get pleasure from the wildlife and many pets that reside there.
