Louise van Terheijden was born in Ens (Noordoostpolder) Netherlands and currently lives and works in Tilburg, the Netherlands. She studied painting at The Royal Academy for Art and Design in Den Bosch, the Netherlands and graduated with a BFA in 1982. That same year she received the Lucas prijs s’Hertogenbosch award for her work. From 1989 – 2013, she taught drawing and painting at Kunstencentrum Waalwijk in Waalwijk, Netherlands. van Terheijden has exhibited across the Netherlands and is included in numerous private collections across the world. Her recent body of work consists mainly of watercolor paintings.
