Dorothy Holmes Mohler has been painting for over 25 years. She was lucky enough to travel around this country and others while growing up with parents who showed her the beauty of Art and Nature.  Because of this exposure, she simply loves to paint.

Dorothy is known for painting many subjects including portraits, birds, florals, and nature and contemporary abstract landscapes.  Becoming easily bored with repetition, she loves to be able to paint a woman's face one day and switch to the details of a Ponderosa Pine the next.  Most of her work is in Acrylic Paint with fine details drawn in either India Ink or colored pencil. She enjoys painting on wood, filling the surface with color while leaving the sides raw and blank and modern.

The artist lives very happily on the Oregon Coast with her husband and small brood of ill-behaved animals.
