Sandy Dooley’s landscapes capture the spontaneous nature of their creation. Inspired by the world around her while also drawing on childhood memories of time spend outdoors, Dooley creates works in vibrant palettes that capture her in-the-moment experience while painting. Focusing on the play of light and shadow and the balance of color and texture within each work, Dooley often experiments with different materials and techniques. Currently she has been working with metallic and interference acrylic paints on paper and Unstretched Canvas, often placing the Unstretched Canvas on the floor and throwing or dripping paint onto the surface. Dooley received her art training at St Martin's School of Art in central London. Her artwork can be found in both corporate and private collections in England, Europe and the United States. She currently lives and works in Kent, UK.
