About the Artist
Ray Powers identifies as a "techno-pagan," blending his love for nature and technology in both visual and musical arts. Inspired by natural cycles, he began advocating for the environment in 1971, co-founding his school’s environmental club after a transformative field trip to a landfill. His creative journey has grown alongside advancements in digital tools, which he uses to translate his visions into powerful artistic statements. Recently, he has directed public murals, premiered the orchestral work Valley of the Moon, served on the Ojai City Planning Commission, and is now the global liaison for Ojai International City of Peace.
