Languages + life science + art = Eugenio D’Adamo. What? Let’s elaborate the equation a bit. Born in Italy, Eugenio a.k.a. Zest Gest has always enjoyed doodling since early childhood. After completing a university degree in Japanese language and culture he unexpectedly ended up working in the life sciences industry during his years abroad. It was around the age of 35 that he decided to dust off his artistic skills and decided to turn them into a profession. Mostly self-taught, he loves creating surreal illustrations that range from clever wordplay to reimagining the basic elements of reality. Amidst it all, his passion for the organic world, particularly food and animals, quietly shines through. His motto? Smart art with a touch of wit.
I hope my creations inspire wonder and joy—making viewers smile, giggle, and reflect on the richness of our world. If my work sparks even a flicker of these feelings in their hearts, I would be truly grateful.
