Dorothy Holmes Mohler is an award winning artist based in Eastern North Carolina. Known for her vibrant, unique, nature-inspired paintings. Dorothy brings a fresh layered perspective to contemporary botanical and landscape art.
Originally from Palo Alto, Dorothy settled in the Pacific Northwest for most of her adult life. This area shaped her deep connection to the natural world and now draws on the beauty of both coasts when creating art. The layers of the deep forests and the swampy marshes that she currently lives on inspires how she develops her work and her practice.
Dorothy’s award winning paintings have been sold in galleries, retail spaces and interior design shops throughout the United States. Her journey from the Pacific Northwest to North Carolina continues to fuel her creative vision - translating natural landscapes into richly layered works that invite viewers to see the familiar in unexpected ways.
