Jessica Durrant’s brilliant fashion paintings have become some of the most beloved images in McGaw’s collection. Whether it’s the enigmatic wisp of a perfect cat’s eye, an iconic quilted Chanel bag, or an embellished Givenchy gown, Jessica’s portfolio is an in-depth exploration of high fashion and glamour. With a popular Instagram feed and seemingly endless commissions with fashion and cosmetics brands, Jessica’s star is shining bright as she continues to build a multifaceted and diverse image assortment that always stays fresh and full of surprises.
Jessica has been painting fashion since she was around 14 years old, and her excitement for the subject has not waned from those early days. She loves translating fashion into art for people’s homes and brands. She is most inspired by designers who create pieces that embrace a woman’s femininity and designs with embellished details in beautiful color palettes and rich, contrasting textures. Her favorite designers include Oscar de la Renta, Alexander McQueen, Marchesa, Elie Saab, Chanel and Dior. Jessica’s inherent passion for the subject of fashion translates into sexy, stylish and sophisticated works that are true to the visions of her design icons.
What better time to feature a new assortment of images and highlight customer faves than the first day for New York Fashion week, which sets off today with a flurry of shows.
