“Light & Space” an exhibition of paintings by Alice Dalton Brown is on view at The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio through April 15th. The exhibition features large oil paintings featuring luminous views from tranquil interiors, each work infused with Dalton Brown’s signature warm light and strong compositions.
Artist and Interior Designer Margaret Juul will participate in an exhibition and lecture at Syd Entel Galleries in Safety Harbor, Florida in early April. The exhibition “Art Makes a House A Home” will open with a reception on Saturday April 7, 2018 (reception 6-8 pm) and will continue through May 5th.
Currently on view at the Tate Modern is an exhibition of works by Italian painter and sculptor Amedeo Modigliani. “Modigliani” opened on November 23, 2017 and features a selection of expressive portraits, nudes and sculptures.
Paper & Leaf, an exhibition of new work by Hannah Klaus Hunter will open at The Pence Gallery in Davis, California on March 8th. The exhibition is the culmination of over a years worth of work with the addition of ecoprinting, where leaves and flowers are applied directly to paper, pressed between wooded boards and immersed in boiling water, revealing haunting and beautiful results.
The Whitney Museum of American Art is hosting and exhibition of Americana masterpieces by Grant wood, including “American Gothic” , his most famous painting.
