Trend Watch: Farmhouse Style

Farmhouse Style has been on our radar since our Spring 2017 trend blog post and now it is taking center stage as a full fledged home décor trend. The palette is grounded in neutrals: slate gray, burlap, barnwood, sage, and shades of white and ivory. The look is casual, comfortable, and effortlessly chic with gray as the predominant neutral elevating a traditional country subject to the modern day. Largely inspired by HGTV’s “Fixer Upper” star Joanna Gaines’ décor aesthetic, flea market finds, and upcycled goods, the look is a mix of nostalgic elements, black and white pastoral landscapes and western scenes, Americana, and silhouettes and textures from nature.
