Balance and simplicity are at the heart of Janette Dye’s abstract works. When we first saw Janette’s paintings, we were drawn to the bold shapes and simple lines with an overall texture instilling the images with a graphic yet organic feel. Born in England in 1962, Janette grew up in a quaint village on the outskirts of the industrial city of Manchester amid the contrast of working class and privileged. This exposure to different backgrounds was a strong influence on her work.
Now based in Palm Springs, Janette has combined her earlier life experiences from the UK to begin her new creative direction in the US. She is at her boldest when she seduces the viewer with her dynamic composition and color sensitivity to create a unique visual vocabulary. See the Janette Dye collection.
