New Andy Warhol 2016 Poster Collection

Today we are announcing the release of a new collection of open edition Andy Warhol posters. Produced in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the new hardcover catalog features over 200 images with more than 70 new pieces.

This comprehensive poster catalog celebrates Warhol’s most iconic Pop Art work and highlights a variety of key periods in Warhol’s career. The collection includes the classic Campbell’s Soup cans and introduces new Warhol works showcasing brands such as Brillo boxes, Mattel’s Barbie Doll and the iconic Chuck Taylor sneaker from Converse.

McGaw’s 2016 Warhol Catalog continues to represent Warhol’s love of celebrity with the definitive portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Harry and John Wayne. Newly released imagery includes portraiture of Dennis Hopper and fellow artists Jean Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Robert Mapplethorpe.

“The 2016 Warhol Catalog and images are the most exciting and diverse collection of Warhol posters that we’ve published,” said George Yedinak, Chief Executive Officer of McGaw Graphics, Inc. “This collection touches nearly every theme and period of Warhol’s career and we’re extremely proud of this new release.”

The 2016 collection features many new photographic works including several new Polaroid photos and screen tests from Warhol’s Factory stars such as Jane Holzer and Edie Sedgewick. In addition to these works, McGaw is publishing a new collection of photographs by Nat Finkelstein, a regular at Warhol’s Factory, who captured the spirit of that time and place.

Andy Warhol quotes have continued to be some of the best selling images in the collection. The 2016 collection expands the line to include new minimalist quote posters from the Moderna Museet and other interpretations of the best selling quote series in bold pop colors.
”The Foundation is delighted to build upon our longstanding relationship with McGaw to introduce fresh and exciting material never before published as poster,” said Michael Dayton Hermann of The Andy Warhol Foundation.
All images are also available on paper and giclee in a range of sizes.
